We are soaking in the energy of six retrograde planets as I write this, contemplating the deepening of autumn, cooler evenings, my deep inner drive longing to launch and accomplish because it feels like a new school year.
“But no, not yet” whisper the retrograde Ones.
Rethink, review, revision. Re. Re. Re. Do it again. Reconsider, Check your facts (Mercury) and your truth (Jupiter). Restructure your structural plans (Saturn), the deep karmic memory of achievements you might be longing to birth, build and be magnificent, whether it’s a company or a family.
Uranus asks us to rebel against all the stuck places that keep us from true authenticity and awakening. Question authority.
“When did you give up on your dreams?” Neptune surrounds us with sparkling, but foggy magic. Question reality.
Pluto just keeps steam rolling that little square of late Capricorn land. “The ego must die so you can be reborn! The shadow and all you fear must be in your face as naked truth. Only then will you regenerate and be in true power!”
Soon, each planet in turn will release us from their grasp, and we will feel some flow. Our plans will be well researched and we will begin to rebuild our lives in a post 2020 world, all that we have learned, loved and lost now part of our inner wisdom.
Who’s counting, but these are the days they move direct: Oct 2 - Mercury; Oct 8 - Pluto; Oct 22 - Saturn; November 23 - Jupiter; December 3 - Neptune'; January 22 - Uranus.
(Meanwhile Mars will retrograde and be back in tune on January 12 and yet another Mercury retrograde will bless us from December 29 to January 18).
We have breath and we have each other.
We have a “Hunter’s Moon” on October 9th, traditionally the omen of fattened deer and plump squash.
Whether you have been cultivating a spiritual perspective of life for decades or are just wondering if some of that woo woo might make sense, I invite you to honor this retrograde bridge phase, remembering your mission, and perhaps finding courage in the fullness of this Aries Full Moon.
It’s been said many times, but bears repeating: There’s no way out but through.
